'The Masked Singer' Reveals Season 13 Winner After 1 Contestant Gives the Season's 'Best Vocal': 'I Am Floored!' (2025)

Four contestants entered The Masked Singer’s season 13 finale, but only one would be the lucky winner of the Golden Mask Trophy.

Judge Rita Orakicked off the May 7 finale with a cover of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” and then finalists Boogie Woogie, Coral, Mad Scientist Monster and Pearl joined in. Then, Ora, 34, joined Ken Jeong,Jenny McCarthyandRobin Thickeon the panel to help make the tough decision about who would win.

Before Pearl took the stage, she spoke in her clue package about her Masked Singer transformation.

“It’s so strange that I’ve pulled off being the bejeweled princess,” Pearl said. “It’s so unlike me. I’d say the hoodie and sweatpants is more in line with who I am.”

Pearl described herself as “gritty, raw, unapologetic,” but said that those qualities “stood in the way of my success.” She shared that once, while singing for a record executive, she thought he wrote down “no,” when he’d really written down “now” and wanted to sign her on the spot.

“After all these years, I think people still don’t know what I’m capable of until now,” Pearl concluded.

Pearl sang “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall, which caused Jeong, 55, to deem her “the Meryl Streep of Masked Singer.”

“She came to win this competition,” McCarthy, 52, said.

HostNick Cannon announced that every competitor would receive a call from a loved one following their performance. Pearl got one from her daughter, who shared with the singer “how unbelievably proud I am of you.”

The message brought Pearl to tears. “I’m floored,” she said.

Faith Hill, Kacey Musgraves, Madonna and Shaina Twain arose as possibilities for Pearl’s identity.

Coral followed up by talking in her clue package about how she dreamed of being like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s as a kid.

“My wish came true,” Coral said in her clue package. “I became a part of one of the biggest franchises of all time and now there are little girls watching me. It’s so surreal. ButI didn’t want it to just stop there. For years, I was trying to release my music to be a pop singer. But people weren’t listening. They just thought of me as that girl from those movies.”

Coral covered Hepburn’s “Moon River” and then received a call from her dad.

“No matter what happens tonight, you really already won,” Coral’s dad said. “I’m just so incredibly proud of you. Watching you on stage, I cannot help but remember that young girl singing and dancing to Broadway songs in our living room thinking that maybe her big dreams are possible. Well, you’re now living that dream, which is the greatest gift a dad can ask for. I love you always and forever.”

The judges thought Coral could be Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld or Rachel Zegler.

Boogie Woogie danced his way to the stage next.

“One day I got a knock at the door and a neighbor told me, ‘Your voice sucks, give up the dream,’” Boogie Woogie said in his clue package. “Their words hit me hard. It pierced my positivity, but I refused to let them stop me. Now that I’m a dad, I would give anything to protect my kids from rejection. But I realized that a big part of life is learning how to push through the pain.There’s always beauty on the other side. You find yourself where you’re meant to be.”

Boogie Woogie tackled George Michael’s “Freedom! 90” and McCarthy said he “brought the house down.”

He received a call from his daughters, one of whom told Boogie Woogie, “Daddy, you need to win! You’re doing such a good job.”

Boogie Woogie said he wanted to show his daughters that “positivity and sincerity can win.”

The panel suggested that Boogie Woogie might be Darren Criss, Andy Samberg or Ryan Tedder.

Mad Scientist Monster closed out the first round of performances and revealed in his clue package that he fell into music by accident. “I always thought I’d be an athlete, and when that wasn’t the case, I was lost,” Mad Scientist Monster said. “My dad was the one who motivated me and he encouraged me to go the unconventional route and wow am I glad I did.”

His dad also encouraged Mad Scientist Monster to go solo after his music group “parted ways,” and he learned “going solo is the right choice after all.”

Mad Scientist Monster put his spin on Sugarland’s “Stay,” which Thicke, 48, deemed the “best vocal of the season.”

Mad Scientist Monster received a call from his parents. “You’ve done a great job doing something totally different and wish you the best as you go forward and want you to go ahead and knock this thing out of the park and win it,” Mad Scientist Monster’s dad told him.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Sam Hunt came up as options for Mad Scientist Monster.

Once each finalist performed, the studio audience and panel voted for their favorite performance. The two contestants with the fewest votes would unmask, and the other two would perform one more time.

Cannon, 44, revealed that Mad Scientist Monster would be the first one to go, taking fourth place. First, Mad Scientist Monster shared his Crack the Case Clue: a tarpon necklace.

“I love the outdoors,” Mad Scientist Monster explained. “I grew up on and near the waters and I love fishing with my dad still to this day.”

Mad Scientist Monster proceeded to unmask as Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley.

Cannon announced Coral as the next one eliminated. For her Crack the Case Clue, one of the Men in Black revealed a cheerleader outfit.

“This uniform changed my life and gave me the ability to chase my dreams,” Coral shared. “And now, people cheer for me.”

Coral turned out to be Disney Channel star Meg Donnelly.

From there, Pearl and Boogie Woogie each performed one more song. Boogie went first with Lewis Capaldi’s “Love the Hell Out of You,” and Pearl closed out with “I’ll Stand by You” by The Pretenders.

“Winning tonight would prove that there’s a lot more to me than just the one thing that everybody thinks I am,” Pearl said afterwards.

The judges and studio audience voted one more time to determine the winner.

“They both deserve it,” Thicke said.

Still, there could only be one champ, and Cannon announced that for season 13, it would be Pearl.

“I am floored,” she said. “I almost hit the floor!”

Before Pearl could take off her mask, Boogie Woogie revealed himself as “Honey, I’m Good” singer Andy Grammer. He shared a Crack the Case Clue of a breast cancer ribbon, a nod to losing his mom to breast cancer.

Pearl’s Crack the Case Clue came in the form of a sparkly pair of pants given to her by Dolly Parton. “It’s a pair of pants for the record books,” Pearl said. “Not only did my idol Dolly Parton give them to me, but I also got to perform with her while I was wearing them.”

Ultimately, Pearl unmasked as country singer Gretchen Wilson.
